P1 Wimax Social Media Gathering / Party @ TwentyOne, BSC

Revenge of the bad gas had me bedridden the morning away. While snoozing, the awesum dude, peon of RuumzNationz kingdom, Andrew, broke my frazzled dreams of sun, sea, sand… and my darling in a bikini.

damnit.

Cut the long story short (no pun intended), the dude tells me about P1 throwing an absolut bash of a Social Media Party. Nice…

Told Panda about it, and she insisted that I should go out instead of staying in the whole day. (No wonder I love her so much) Anyways, noticed Pearlyn came online so I asked the social fawn whether she was going. Turns out she wanted to, but was scared and decided to blow it all. Bleh. N she blames me for not inviting her earlier, least she’d have someone to talk to.

Rain + 7pm + Bangsar = MASSIVE Jam

Upon finding parking outside of BSC (hey, free parking!) it was pretty much ‘The Amazing Race’ hurrying around the shopping mall looking for the place, when I happen to run into Mr. Joshua Chay. Been ages since I’ve seen the fella after the Genting Trip.

Anyways… like a heroic duo scurrying about the place, we finally got clue that the elevator to TwentyOne was located OUTSIDE. Doh!

Finally, we reach the registration counter. Twitter IDs anyone?

I must say, I’ve never been to TwentyOne Table + Terrace before, but the interior looks ABSOLUTELY stunning. okay, I haven’t seen the prices… yet. But yeah.. it’s still a cozy chillout joint!

So I hussled around for a bit, looking around for familiar faces, but top of my agenda would be the drinks. Where’s all the drinks? Doesn’t matter cordial, juices, heck, even if it’s water! Where are they?

And my quest for thirst quenchers had led me to the bar to discover…

‘Nuff said.

So yeah, while oggling at the superbly humungous bottle of Absolut Vodka, a familiar voice called out to me. It was none other than Mr. Ruumz himself – James Chong.

Awesome fellow, with plenty of ‘heart’ (Padang Relief Fund anyone?)

The hearty dude ushered me to sit alongside with *surprise, surprise* another group, parking myself amongst the 15 Malaysia directors, and even the Ford Supermodel Winners.

Funnily while walking around outside, I ran into a VERY familiar face… It was Ija Mohan, my ex-classmate from highschool. Gawd… has it been *that* many years? And he’s now an owner of his own restaurant in SS1, opposite the Caltex station. Hrmm.. *must* check it out one day.

Next up was the awards for the 2 Ford Supermodel winners – they each got a 1yr FREE P1 wiggy, and the winner for P1’s 15Malaysia Short Film was none other than Joshua Chay! Grr.. he got himself a Mac Book Pro.

Yeah, jealous that he got it. But he deserved it. Happy for the dude.

And as for the long-awaited ceremony… the food was FINALLY served! But unfortunately the ‘winners’ table was too tiny, so joined the Ruumz boys(and gals) at their table alongside with Joshua and Joyce.

But before we got to the food, there was a bit of ‘drama’… *jeng jeng jeng*

Well it really *does* look Andrew was smacked, rite? Actually he was accidentally elbowed. lolXD

So while mingling and chatting away, moving around like a social butterfly I am, it happened that the ‘other’ socialites came in later just in time for the drinks.

Well, that marks the eventful evening with lots of joy, happiness and over-all satisfaction of meeting up great people and catching up on times… minus the eggnog, liquor and bad hangovers of course…

But it’s the good company that makes the night fun, ain’t it?

Cheers to everyone for a wonderful 2009! Prolly the best ‘Party’ as of yet. But we’ll see what else is around the corner, eh?
