Okay, I could’ve come up with 1,001 shoe joke punchlines but I’m all out; there’s just goddamn too many of them.

Anyways let’s introduce the cast, shall we?

To sum everything up, I’ve got

1. JuHang Canvas Sneakers

First up… WTF is this? My mom goes to Shanghai.

It’s SHANG – “FREAKING-CHEAP-PIRATED-BRANDED-GOODS-OF-THE-WORLD” – HAI

…and instead of getting me any fake Nikes, Reebok, or even Adidas.. she gets me this:-

Seriously?

Even Sungai Wang cheap brands look better than this…

Do I look like an adolescent teen with bad fashion taste? (Okay, I know some of you guys are already thinking it, so shut it or this shoe will fit ur mouth )

…and what’s with the stencil branding? Honestly do they think I even care? Geez… even I design better logos than that.

They should hire me.

2. New Balance Men’s Classic White

Awesome pair which I was *suppose* to design on, but never really gotten around to do it. It just looks too pristine that I didn’t want to spoil it… *sob*

3. Evokes White Leather Loafers

This was going off at 70% sale at Parkson and the quality and cutting was pretty decent, and heck it considering I needed a walking around pair of shoes anyway…

Looking good…. good…

And this is how it looks, out-of-the-box.

Sure, it’s not branded.

Sure, it’s not the Hush Puppies that I wanted (which btw I’m just waiting for the sale and the price to drop).

But it’s still comfy to wear out – semi-casual.

4. New Balance Men’s Classic

Pretty much like the other New Balance shoes above, it’s pristine white.

Difference is that its a little more ’sportier’ than the other with more obvious seams, a nice frame and breathable pores at the front.

5. Armani Exchange Low-Whites

Also another pair that was 70% off at ION, Orchard Singapore, bought during Year End Sale. 1 size larger though coz the one I wanted was already bought. sigh.

And did I mention it’s an ARMANI?

OMG OMG OMG OMG! and it has a velvety sort of feel! omigosh I’m gonna faint…

It’s so BEAUTIFULLLLLLL

bad thing is that since it’s velvety, it might stain easily too. crapz. Prolly wear it ONLY to formal functions or snazzy occasions.

6. (Fake) DC Shoes

Yeah, yeah… they ‘ALWAYS’ claim it’s originals, but for RM60? pfft… what a con job.

But who cares? I’m buying them just for practice anyway.

Tried my hand at shoe designing before with my fake Adidas Stan Smiths (nicknamed Kotetsu. Lemme go find the old link… somewhere around) and now I’m trying my hand out at these babies.

Can’t really afford to screw up on oris, rite?

If you’re wondering what I used, they’re pens. And no… Initially I tried doing identical design and later on just gave up and did random ones instead…

Patience and attention to detail is how I do my designs. sadly the stupid Copic pen smears and is absorbed into the fabric leaving a weird smudge-like design.

Kinda cool though. It’s like some Photoshop ‘outer-glow’ effect.

Yes, I told myself I’d work out more after getting these.

But as we all know, M’sias whether is like women’s emotions; inconsistent. And thanks to that, hardly ever do I get to work out routinely.

8. Puma C-Hopper Black-White Fluo-Pink

This is by far my most wearable pair of kicks.

You’ve seen me struttin it out – in clubs, at work, or just window shopping. The bright neon orange laces are definitely eye-catching.

It’s casual. It’s wearable. It’s casual-wearable.

9. Converse Classics – All-Star

Most Converse these days are crapz.

Okay, all except the Union Jack Limited Edition pair, which – by the way – was DEFINITELY out of my budget. Bleh.

Anyways, got a REALLY good deal for this pair a while back while randomly browsing at MidValley’s Converse store. Nice….

…and unboxing.

Interestingly is the Converse shoe box.

It’s slimmer and thinner than most shoe boxes and is more space-saving. awesomeness!

Whatever it is, I still love these shoes – the quality and the feel of it. Rugged and street at the same time.

A bit ’80s retro, but hey… I’m an ’80s kid.

Yeah, and Will Smith donned a pair of Converse in iRobot too!

It’s a CLASSIC, damnit! Whoo!

Imagine wrapping some canvas around your feets and splattering paint over them.

11. Hush Puppies leather work shoes

okay, I don’t know the official name for these lovable doggies, but as how the myth of Hush Puppies being superbly comfortable? They weren’t lying.

These are amazingly confortable.

…and stylish too, I might add.

12. Puma Commander II Stingray

Puma having an off-season “Everything-must-go” Media sale, my editor kindly grabbed me a pair of kicks.

Course it had really ugly laces, so I threw them out and replaced ‘em with neon green ones, which turned out pretty well.

13. Atlanta Slippers

Yeah, thanks to my entire family stealing my Tropicana slippers, I got really upset eventhough I’ve TOLD them specifically that there are 4 pairs of slippers n they consistently just. had. to. take. MINE?! !@#$%^

And now my fav pair of Tropicana slippers has been flattened thinner than a crepé hot off the stove. Not to mention the complete lack of grip for slip-sliding action. whee~

Anyways… got me a new pair of Atlanta slip-ons and they look fab!

Heck, even the box looks designerish (not that I really care)

Sole Branding? Or maybe to leave its brand in the sand as you walk so that everyone knows you’re wearing an Atlanta?
